Minister of Education and Higher Education Sabri Saidam and Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Yusuf al-Dais signed a memorandum of understanding; to enhance the steadfastness of Institution schools in Jerusalem, and to support vocational and technical education, in line with the national strategy for the development of this sector and increase the enrollment of its own in the Jerusalem governorate.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding; signed on Thursday, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education will develop specialization "carpentry" in school, according to the approved study plan with the ministry for grades 11 and 12, and will provide teaching staff of the introduction of new disciplines, while the Ministry of Awqaf provide administrative and technical staff of engineers and technicians, and the necessary equipment in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the Ministry of Education.
The memorandum items on the open field in front of students in Jerusalem schools that integrate vocational education and academic education starting from the seventh grade; to benefit from the practical experiences and concerns in the Institution schools, opening prospects for cooperation in the exchange of teaching staff between subsidiaries of the two ministries institutions to meet the needs of both sides .
In turn, Saydam stressed that this Memorandum of Understanding will be the first of future agreements ministry will sign to serve the students and teachers for the service and boosting education; through the open doors of the Institution front of students in Jerusalem schools to direct the use of laboratories in promoting the integration of vocational and technical education in public education, in line with 2017-year-old announced by the Ministry of Vocational and technical Education.
